About metabolic syndrome

In the research of government, one third men from 40 years old to 74 years old are metabolic syndrome and one fifth women from 40 years old to 74 years old are also metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome grows various sickness, because of the stock of fat in internal organs. If you become metabolic syndrome, you have the big chance to have cardiac infarction, arteriosclerosis suddenly. And we have the big chance to die by sickness. If you escape from death, you often have serious hangover. Metabolic syndrome is a very dreadful sickness.

To prevent metabolic syndrome, what should we do? First, we should begin to sleep from regular time. It is very effective to sleep for 15 minites or 30 minites in the noon. But it is bad to sleep for more one hour. Next, we should exerise. But it is bad to do sudden exercise, because body burden is too big. So it is important to do morderate exercise like jogging. About refugees of delivery even in the city

A housewife in Toyoake city was very surprised at the hospital in Nagoya. The hospital said "Women can't deliver a child this hospital after December." She was going to deliver a child in December. Never had she dreamed that she became the refugee of delivery even in the big city, Nagoya. The hospital has 20 beds. It has been popular among prople living threre for more 30 years. But it has taken pains to gather doctors and maternity nurses. The most fatal change is that it become difficult to get the help of big hospitals which have advanced machines. It searched for the hospitals which NICU, but all hospitals refused this demand. Doctor, Sakai says "The number of doctors and maternity nurses is lack even in the big hospitals. If big hospitals refuse to accept our demand, we can't be responsible for our medical treatment."

A housewife began to look for other hospitals. Many hospitals in the citys near Nagoya stop consulting expectant women. So she decided to deliver in Toyoake. But the number of doctors was also lack at the hospital in Toyoake. After she entered the hospital, one doctor moved to other hospital. So only one doctor kept consulting all expectant women. She was very disturbed. Fortunately she could safely deliver a child. But she says "I want to deliver one more child. But the hospitals where we can deliver keep decreasing. Doctors work very hard, but there is the limit to do so. I don't understand why this situation happens."

One woman who is 31 years old is a enrolling staff in the corporation which sends workers. Her works are different every day like saleswoman or worker in the factory. She is often canceled her work suddenly by the reason why corporation has no work to introduce her. Her salary per month is about a hundred thousand yen. She became adult in the middle of 1990's. First she was a regular staff. Next she entered other company as a contracting staff. But she was dismissed suddenly after three months passed. From two years ago, she has worked as irregular staff in the factory. She hasn't become a regular staff at all after she resignd first job, though she worked over 15 jobs.

Many big corporations tend to employ many students now. On the other hand, the number of regular staff decreases and irregular staff increases. This is because former prime minister Koizumi promoted deregulation. Many corporations decrease regular staff and increase irregular staff like part-timer or enrolling staff whose salary is very low. Syuichiro Sekine, the leader of labor union says "Many young people work as a irregulation staff or enrolling staff because it is very difficult to become regular staff. Precarious employment is expanded more and more." Prime minister Abe makes the policy to help young people. Provision for global warming in Japan

The other day, prime minister Abe made an address about education, pension, economy. And last he said "I proposed the new idea 'beautiful earth 50' in the summit. All countries agreed an d this plan was included in the report of the summit. Japan tries to exercise leadership in solving environmental problem." Abe published this plan, pointing at the summit in Germany next month. The goal of this plan is that people all over the world decrease 50 % CO2 by 2050, comparing to now. Abe wanted to appeal this contents to all over the world. This was the first time Japan set up long time environmental goal. But the problem of this plan is that we can't know what we should do to achieve this goal. Japan set up domestic policy yet to achieve it.

Japan don't set up clear long time goal yet. Developing countries will discharge more CO2, so developed countries will decrease more CO2. Besides Japan don't set up middle time goal. Also the way of decreaseing isn't clear. Many development of technique is difficult to use practically. It is difficult to soak up our goal "Decrease 1kg CO2 per person a day". And the Federation of Economic Organization says "It is difficult to decrease CO2, because many corporations already try to decrease CO2." To exercise leadership in solving environmental problem, Abe needs to persuade citizen and corporations. (Asahi 2007/7/22)

Much photochemical smog happens.

The number of photochemical smog keeps increasing. This year the warning of photochemical smog has been announced already in 26 prefectures. In the past, photochemical smog became serious environmental problem in the city. Afterwards, it kept decreasing by the inprovement of pollution. But lately it has happened not only in the city but also rural areas, like isolated island. In fact, the causes which photochemical smog happens seem to be different between city and rural areas.

Most of the cause chemical of photochemical smog is ozone. Ozone at the high place protects us from ultraviolet rays but ozone at the low place is harmful for us. Ozone is made by NOx and VOC which soak up ultraviolet rays and happen chemical reaction. For 30 years from 1970's, NOx and VOC has decreased. But ozone has increased from 1990's. Also there is the chance that ozone comes from China. Besides there is the research that ozone keeps increasing all in the Northern Hemisphere.

In Japan, the Ministry of environment will make committee and put together report. Yutaka Kondo, professor says " We should discuss the individual and specific factors about photochemical smog." (Asahi 2007/7/18)

Reformation of the Ministry of social insurance

The law of reformation of the Ministry of social insurance was passed in the diet. The opposite political party resisted very much but government party took a firm line. The Ministry of social insurance managed our pension loosely for a long time., so the problem of our pension isn't solved at all. Now we began to analyze the cause and responsibility of this problem. Besides prime minister Abe should work on solving this problem quickly.

After passing this law, the government makes institution of the third party. This institution is expected to solve this problem quickly. So the government should use this institution effectively. And the government should be responsible for this problem, if the problem become more seriously. We hope that the government solve this problem using new idea like setting up the number of social insurance.

In Niigata prefecture, vegetable market was built in May. This market is extreme "eco market", where garbage of vegetable is completely resolved. This machine to resolve vegetable is made by rocal small company. After bidding at 8 in the morning, distributers load garbage of vegetable into forklift truck and get together in front of the machine to resolve vegetable. In this market, about 1 ton of garbage of vegetable is grown per day. Distributers put garbage into machine. After putting into, machine resolves about 1.2 ton garbage into water and CO2 during a day.

The price of this machine is about 27 million yen. The staff of rocal small company appeals " Machine wii save money to carry garbage of vegetable and can reduce cost." The market says "We want to improve the image by using this machine." In the past, the market asked dealers to carry garbage. Now the cost is reduced very much by resolving oneself. People in the market says "The machine is effective to improve environment, so more additional cost is reduced."

In fact, the most garbage of vegetable is made in the market of Tokyo. So rocal small company which makes this machine wants to advance in Tokyo. Staff in this company says "We get a big chance in Tokyo now. So we want to try to advance in Tokyo by improving this machine more.

Global environmental situation

G8 summit about environment will be held in Germany from June 6. The main topic is global warming. Kyoto protocol which orders developed countries to reduce CO2 will be took effort next year. So many countries should begin to reduce CO2. But they should reduce the half amount of CO2 by middle of this century, to stop global warming all over the world.

Many countries make plans to reduce CO2. For example, EU will reduce 20% CO2 compared with 1990. America will reduce much amount of CO2. And Japan will reduce half of CO2 by 2050. But developing countries like China and India don't make plans. So developed countries urge them to make plans soon.

Now one system is noticed. This system is discharged right of CO2. In this system, if we achieve discharged goal, we can sell the right to others. This system means that the more we reduce CO2, the more we can earn. This system is already used in EU and decided to use in America. Also Japan will use this system. This system is useful to stop global warming, also reduce cost and create economic competition. So many countries should use this system.

Law of national vote about constitution

Law of national vote was passed in May 14 and prime minister Shinzo Abe broke his duck about revising constitution. Abe push forward in attacking style and question Japanese people about his style in vote of House of Counciors. His aim is to revise constitution in the tenure of prime minister.

Now Abe is aggressive to revise constitution. He hurry all kinds of schedule. For example. he wants to hold the meeting of expert as soon as possible. But he was't aggressive first. He worried about dropping approval rate and he came to bay. So he wants to appeal his leadership to Japanese people.

But revising constitution is very difficult. Even if Abe wins the vote of House of Councilors, he will get at most 50% member of House of Councilors. Revising consitution needs at least two third member of House of Councilors. This is the most anxious thing for him.

In future, what Abe should do are many. He must decide minimum rate of vote about constitution, range of voting object and so on. At the same time, people should consider the vote about constitution and revising constitution.

About nursing in home

Now goverment increases nursing in home to decrease medical cost. But nursing in home is very serious burden for family member. Increasing nursing in home is difficult.

Fumihito Katou, doctor in Mie prefecture has seen over 100 patient's death in their home. He visited their home every day if patients tend to die. He says "Nursing in home is good for patients and they eat well, decrease their pain."

But in fact, many patients die in hospital. This is because nursing in home is a big burden for family member. Nuclear family is increasing, so ability to nurse in home is decreasing. Besides he says recent people don't know how patients die in home. So family member call ambulance before patients die. Family member can't prepare patients to die in their home.

May Day in Japan by freeter and irregular payroll

People who work side job or part-time job held May Day in Osaka and Tokyo. They began getting together and appealing their serious situation.

At Nagai park in Osaka city, about 100 freeter and homeless got together. They enjoyed
communicating with freemarket and concert. This project was planed by labor union and supporting organization. They appealed by placard written "We want to gain 2000 yen per hour and get paid holiday".

At Kabuki-chou in Tokyo, 420 people and 38 group joined May Day. They displayed various placard written "We want to change my life. We oppose free paid overtime work." and took to the streets dancing with loud melody.

Makoto Kumazawa professor in Konan university says "Many regular payroll suffer from free paid overtime work and young freeter are forced to work very long time with low salary. Young people are devided by argument of self responsibility.

About prevention against global warming

IPCC is the conference which experts at global warming made. In the first meeting, they reported that if we keep on using oil more and expand economy, temperature will rise 4℃ at the end of the 21th century. In the second meeting, they cautioned that if temperature rise over 2℃ or 3℃ , bad influence will happen all over the world. We must stop rising temperature. In the third meeting, they said that if we achieve it, we must decrease the amount of CO2 at least by 2020.

These are messeages that we must prevent against global warming wituout delay. But recently Kanada, America and Ausutralia broke the Kyoto protocol. So Japan must keep on achieving the Kyoto protocol and stop breaking it.

IPCC reported that saving energy about industry and building is the most effective way to decrease CO2. And saving energy is concerned with saving cost, raising the rate of production , so we can save energy confidently. First we must decrease using oil and save energy by developing new tecnology of energy.
